Learn tracking with your dog on our dog tracking courses! Teaching your dog to track a human scent and find dropped articles along the way can be great fun, both for you and your dog. It is also a great outlet for your dog’s hunting instinct and a great way to drain some of that pent up energy that some dogs have that can cause behaviour issues.

During my time doing competitive Working Trails and travelling all over the country made me realise how much dogs like this exercise. This is not some artificial exercise it is a pre-wired natural instinct present in all dogs. One lady I knew tracked with a Bull Terrier, a flat nosed breed that sometimes has difficulty breathing and not known for its tracking ability. We cannot teach the dog anything about using its nose to find things, but we can direct it to benefit us.

Tracking workshops will be held on a Saturdays when numbers allow and will be from:

09:30 – 16:30 (1 hour for lunch)

During the workshop you will be taught:

  • How to lay a basic track
  • How scent works
  • How the wind and climatic condition affect scent
  • Basic line handling
  • How to handle your dog whilst tracking

Numbers are limited so if you are interested please call now to book you place.
