One to one dog training offers the opportunity to work on specific behaviour problem in a less stimulating environment than a group class.

One to one dog training

One to one dog training can be arranged at our venue or at the owner’s depending on the owner’s wishes and specific behaviour problems highlighted during the initial telephone conversation.

If you have no previous dog training knowledge one to one tuition is a great way of very quickly picking up the basics and to give you confidence before joining one of the group classes.

Sometimes it only takes 1 or 2 sessions before the owner and dog are ready to join a group should they wish to do so.

One to one dog training in your own home

Some behaviour problems may require a home visit consultation before starting your individual training. This is to ensure that I have all the relevant history of the dog and that we are carrying out the right corrective training.

One to one tuition is the starting point for many issues involving anti-social behaviour or fear-based behaviour in dogs. As the dog progresses it may then need to be introduced to a group situation as part of its rehabilitation.

Dog behavioural problems that benefit from individual training

The following are just a few examples of behaviour problems that will benefit from individual training:

  • Pulling on the lead
  • Jumping up
  • Poor recall
  • Chase behaviour – livestock – vehicles
  • Anti-social behaviour
